GERMAN CHANCELLOR SCHROEDER IN BULGARIA
German Chancellor Schroeder told a press conference in Sofia Friday there are no problems between Bulgaria and Germany to inconvenience their political relations. Schroeder arrived in Sofia Friday for a one-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Saxe Cobourg-Gotha. He congratulated Bulgaria on recently wrapping- up EU-accession talks and was hopeful the accession accord would be signed in sping-2005. Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Saxe Cobourg-Gotha said, opening a Bulgaria-Germany Business Forum in Sofia Friday, he was confident that the political and economic stability, healthy macroeconomic figures, NATO membership and upcoming EU-accession will continue to boost German investment interest in Bulgaria. Chancellor Schroeder pointed out Bulgaria has accomplished over the last 15-20 years a processes of transformation, unequalled in Europe and the world and this was to be duly merited. Power engineering, Information Technologies, automobile manufacture, the food industry and the military-industrial complex have been identified as the most promising venues in bilateral cooperation.
