ROUND TABLE: ARE MUNICIPALITIES AND DISTRICTS READY FOR THE EUROPEAN UNION FUNDS?

Round table to discuss the findings of the Capacity Assessment of Municipalities and District Administrations to work with the EU Structural and Cohesion Funds will take place tomorrow  July 25th, 2006, from 10:00 to 12:00 hrs. at Radisson SAS Hotel, Alexander Hall.

Presentation on the main findings of the survey will be made by Vassil Marinov and Vassil Garnizov – main authors of the Capacity Assessment Report.

Representatives of government, municipal and district administrations, NGOs, academia and media will participate in the discussion.

The survey covered all 28 district administrations and 243 municipalities in May-June 2006.

The updated report is the third in a series of expert papers looking at the question “Are we ready for the EU funds?”.
