French Toute l'Europe is launching a new website Tweet your MEP

This September, Toute l'Europe, a Paris-based European affairs media, is launching a new website Tweet your MEP. Its goal is to enable European citizens to communicate with their MEPs in an easy, immediate and transparent way.

Toute l'Europe is a media partner of EUROPE Gateway.

With 400 000 monthly visitorsToute l'Europe is a major player on the European web and a reliable source of information on European affairs. It is a not-for-profit media financed by the French Foreign Ministry and public sector companies, providing simple, engaging, educational content on European current affairs. Toute l'Europe aims to foster pan-European debate and to encourage European citizens to participate in the political life of the EU.

In setting up the Tweet your MEP website, Toute l'Europe wants to organise and facilitate interaction between Internet users and MEPs... How ? By using Twitter technology, which allows any user to send short messages (140 characters max.), called "tweets", via Internet or text messages for free.

With Tweet your MEP, MEPs will have an opportunity to inform citizens any time about the work they are doing on their behalf. In return, citizens will be able to ask a question, share their opinion or express their support for the action being taking by their MEPs.
Covering all 27 Member States, Tweet your MEP will be available firstly in four languages - English, French, German and Dutch, before being extended in the near future.

Tweet your MEP has been created by Toute l'Europe with the support of the King Baudouin Foundation and the Hippocrène Foundation.
