Bulgarian administration rates itself at grade 5.7

The work with citizens in the different administrative units receives a score of 5,7. These are the results of a survey assigned by the Bulgarian Ministry of State Administration and conducted using the "secret client" method, BGNES announced.

According to the research, people wait in font of administrative desks 5 minutes on average; 86,3 % of state employees act politely and provide the required information in a comprehensible way. During visits on-site employees provide citizens with sufficient instructions related to public services. The survey is carried out within a project "Improving human resources management policy in the state administration", implemented under the "Administrative Capacity" Operative Programme, which is financed by the EU European Social Fund with nearly BGN 2 mln.

The research was presented today by the Bulgarian Minister of State Administration Nikolay Vassilev. The results also show that the communication via telephone with administrative service units is at a good level. 89% of the phone calls were answered, employees were polite and the cases of bad treatment were only a few.
