Early Symptoms of the Economic Crisis Could Already Be Seen in Bulgaria

"Early symptoms of the economic crisis can already be seen in the country", the Minister of Finance Plamen Oresharski stated, cited by BNR. "One can notice the convergence of consumer market and locking of the financial sector. The first crisis victims became the sectors which sold commodities on credit" the Minister explained.

Furthermore he announced that the funds planned for healthcare and education for next year are too much for the scale of Bulgaria as a share of GDP.

Minister Oresharski took part in a session of the Economic Advisory Council at National Movement Serge and Stability (NDSV). The topic of discussion was Budget 2009.
