The prostest in front of the national assembly scattered

By the order of Deputy Mayor of Sofia Municipality Yulia Nenkova the protest in front of the building of National Assembly was put an end to, Sofia Municipality stated, cited by BNR. The order was issued after the administration of the municipality received a letter form the Ministry of Interior, stating that a bomb thread was received by the hotline of "Counteraction to Serious and Organized Crime". The thread was reported by a website administrator in regard with a posting, stating the intention of detonating an improvised explosive device during the protest rally in front of the National Assembly today.

About 12.20 p.m. police officers started to jostle the protesters towards Tazr Osvoboditel monument, Focus Agency reported. Meanwhile their colleagues encircled the perimeter surrounding the monument and did not allow for the citizens to pass through. Gendarmerie used tear-gas. Protestors surrounded the gendarmerie and stood on the nearby sidewalks. Over ten people have been arrested for hooliganism. Although a part of the demonstrators left, there are still a lot of people on the square, not intending to leave. The protesters shouted slogans like "Mafia", "Resignation", etc. A police vehicle was attacked and damaged.
