Bulgaria Nominates Rumiana Zheleva for Commissioner for Energy
„Our nominee for European Commissioner is Rumiana Zheleva and we are now going through a lot of talks because receiving such a priority portfolio requires the consent of the other European states", Prime Minister Boiko Borisov said in Kavarna.
He added that next week he will have a meeting with French President Sarkozy and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi for the lobby regarding the appointment of Bulgarian European Commissioner for energy. According to Borisov, talks with the main figures in the European Union would be completed before the summit in Brussels on October 29, Focus Agency added.
The executive committee and the parliamentary groups gather this afternoon to complete the procedure of nomination for the position of energy commissioner.
