Beneficiary: Vocational School for Garment and Catering – Vidin

Overall objective(s)

• Extension and development of stable and permanent cross-border cooperation for mutual contacts and meetings, as well as exchange of helpful experience in the field of vocational training and cultural exchange between the three Vocational Schools- the Bulgarian one in Vidin and the Romanian two in Craiova, Dolj. Multiplication of the experience from the previous project executed together with the one Romanian school – partner 1.
• Sustainable impact by the project for increasing the general knowledge and information, and need of additional knowledge and skills of the target group students and teachers.
• Multiplication of the possibilities of the target groups for European integration by improving the professional practice training, improving English language, team work and using Internet.
• Extension of the cultural exchange for preservation and development of the cultural heritage of the border regions on the both sides of the Danube- as a part of the common cultural heritage for consolidation of public consciousness and cooperation.
• Sustainable experience gaining in the managing and technical knowledge in the project implementation by the team and announcement of the results with clearly expressed cross border effect.

Specific objective
Useful practice exchange in the fields of practical professional training in professions garment tailors, designers, restaurant workers, cook and waiter-bartender from the Bulgarian and two Romanian Schools and cultural exchange in order to cherish and develop the cultural heritage on the both sides of the river Danube after the joining to the European Union.

Main activities
The project was developed in two priority areas: Local Democracy and cultural exchange. In order to respond to this two priorities of the programme the main project activities were:

• increasing of vocational training of the students through mutual visits and practice- 2 visits of the Romanian group in Bulgaria and 2 of the Bulgarian group in Romania, preparing and participating in catering events and preparing and sewing of collection of clothes;
• improving and enhancing of their general knowledge through exploring and studying of the rich cultural, historical and ethnographic heritage of the both regions and building and enlarging sustainable cross border cooperation between the students of the three schools aiming to establish stable youth contacts through direct and virtual contacts and improving of informational stream between both regions – Vidin and Craiova.
