About the implementing organizations - "Now - interacting with the EP" project

The European Institute

The European Institute is a non-governmental organization established in April 1999 in response of Bulgaria's striving for speeding up the process of preparation for accession to the European Union. The European Institute has been established with the support of Mr. George Soros, founder of the Open Society Institute and Soros Foundations Network. The mission of the European Institute is to support the efforts of governmental and non - governmental agencies to successfully prepare Bulgaria for EU membership through research, technical assistance, raising public awareness and training.

Center for Policy Modernisation

The Centre for Policy Modernisation is a non-profit civil organisation, dealing with the policies, connected to the overall development of the economy, the public sector management, education, science, culture and technologies, as well as with elaborating concepts, strategies and models for their development and modernisation, in line with the world globalisation processes and the membership of Bulgaria into the European Union.

Gateway "Europe"

Gateway "Europe" www.europe.bg( created in 2003 provides information and analyses concerning the European policies and the Bulgarian participation in them and also mediates in the debate about the purposes and the directions of the social development. The Bulgarian membership in EU represents a challenge for the capacity of the institutions. Gateway "Europe" performs a permanent monitoring and analyses of their activities thus supporting their effectiveness -which is in favour of the civil society.

Radio Bulgaria – the world service of the Bulgarian National Radio

For seventy years the world service of the Bulgarian radio, now called Radio Bulgaria, has been presenting the country’s cultural and national identity to the world. It is a principal source of information from and about Bulgaria for millions of listeners outside its borders. And this is corroborated by the enormous amount of feedback from people of all continents – people who have been listening to us for years, but also more and more newcomers to Radio Bulgaria. This multimillion listening audience is Radio Bulgaria’s best collective correspondent.

RFI Romania

With its Romanian-language programs, RFI Romania covers a large number of Romanian citizens in Bucharest and in other important Romanian cities. The RFI programs are Europe-oriented and targeted towards various audiences. So far, they have successfully cooperated with Europe Gateway in Bulgaria, www.europe.bg – a part of the European Institute – in exchanging information in fields linked to the European integration of our two neighbouring countries.

Yvelines Radio

Yvelines Radio has produced programs concerning EU-integration and in particular the accession of Bulgaria and Romania, giving the possibility to its French listeners to express their views on these topics. Yvelines Radio declared it would be proud to be included in the partners’ network in different member-states, which will be informing the European citizens on the role of the European parliament as a directly elected body representing the whole of our community. It will contribute to finding the best suitable forms for disseminating the project’s messages and for stimulating the citizens’ participation and will explain to its listeners about the EP’s place and functions within the EU institutional model.
