The French Presidency of the EU: presentation of the priorities
The first event in Sofia, related to the forthcoming start of the French presidency of the EU, took place on June 23, Monday, within the initiative “Now – interacting with the European Parliament!”
The presentation was organized by the European Institute – a civil-society organization, which traditionally makes public events for promoting the rotational EU-presidencies. This time, the conference was co-hosted by the Cabinet of the European affairs minister Mrs. Gergana Grancharova.
The French ambassador to Sofia Mr. Etienne de Poncin presented under the form of a public lecture the French EU-Presidency priorities. A discussion followed, with the participation of the Czech ambassador Martin Klepetko, the Irish Embassy representative Eddie Brannigan, the EC Representation counselor on information and communication Ingrid Shikova and the European Institute director Juliana Nikolova.
The video-recording begins with the opening of the event by Mrs. Nikolova and continues further on with de Poncin’s presentation, followed by the speech of Minister Grancharova. The second part of the event is a discussion under the form of questions and answers.
The video-recording on our specialized website http://www.parliament.europe.bg is available in Bulgarian, English and French.
