Plugchieva is not sattisfied with the progress of the judicial reform
"There is a huge amount of work which needs to be done related to the reforms in judiciary and the actual operation of this system" Meglena Plugchieva, Deputy Prime Minister on EU funding said for BNR and noted that it was extremely important to improve not only for we were being monitored but also for our own sake, Focus Agency reported.
Plugchieva was reluctant to comment on the measures to be proposed at today's session of the Public Council. She only stated that the results form the implementation of the action plan from the past months would be presented.
In respect of the conclusions of the auditors from the European Court of Auditors for serious irregularities in the organization and work of the units responsible for allocating and putting into use EU finds, Plugchieva stated that the report includes analysis of the situation in 2007-2008 after instituting the position of "deputy prime minister". "We are the only member state which has so many management bodies and with such fragmentation in funds management", the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized. In her view, a radical change in the situation could be brought only after the elections. "
Different patterns can be developed right now, but this is a political decision to be taken after the elections. It is good to make a change in the management pattern at the end of a programme period, and we are in one", Meglena Plugchieva noted.
In conclusion Plugchieva said that there is serious progress in the field of operational programmes and that there were a lot of things to be completed in relation with the pre-accession programmes.
